Fulton Realty Capital advised a private client on the acquisition of a newly built self-storage property in the Savannah, Georgia metropolitan area. Fulton’s team of real estate professionals led asset sourcing, spearheaded all negotiations, and secured financing.
The property features 44,000 rentable square feet with 350 climate-controlled units, 37 standard storage units, and over 30 RV parking spaces. At the time of closing, the facility was 77% occupied.
A third-party operator has been hired to oversee the property. The new management team will work with Fulton to improve performance by adding online transaction capabilities and by expending an underutilized tenant insurance program.
